Founded by Gayle Van Gils and Deborah Vetter, it is our mission to provide innovative educational programs that demonstrate how to journey beyond self-created boundaries. We facilitate this process through highly creative workshops called The Essential Path, contemplative tools for deepening awareness and joy, and individual coaching at a personal or business level.

Creating Sustainable Communities with Margaret Wheatley

Gayle and Deborah participated in a six-week intergenerational cooperative leadership series "Creating Sustainable Communities" featuring Margaret Wheatley, a renowned author, educator, consultant, speaker on leadership and organizational topics, and co-founder of The Berkana Institute, a global charitable foundation. Her books include award-winning Leadership and the New Science and A Simpler Way. The programs were coordinated by the University of South Florida St. Petersburg Center for Ethical Leadership and brought together USF students, faculty and community leaders to engage in brainstorming and meaningful conversation about innovative leadership, community needs and action plans for developing sustainability. 

Exploring Self-Expression Workshop

On February 6, 2010, we enjoyed a day of play and discovery in our workshop Exploring Self-Expression, held at Studio@620, the innovative gallery and cultural center for the visual and performing arts in downtown St. Petersburg. We unleashed our creativity and tapped into natural talents and abilities through a variety of meditative, rhythmic, art and writing exercises. We worked with our obstacles to self-expression and learned how to identify and transform them, while exploring ways to express our imagination and authenticity.  The workshop showed us how creativity is more than the traditional arts and that it can be a way to add joy to our lives.

Living Fearlessly with an Open Heart

Fear causes us to close our hearts, both to ourselves and to others. In this workshop we will begin to discover how this mechanism works in our life, and how to trust our tender hearts.  Through meditative techniques and creative and contemplative exercises and art, we will see how gentleness to ourselves can profoundly affect all who are a part of our lives.
